IN THE EVENT OF A DEATH
The committee will insure that one of the following is sent from UAW
Local 6888:
- A donation of $50 to the charity or organization designated by the family
- If no charity or organization has been designated, a donation of $50 will be made in
their memory to "Hospice of Central Michigan"
- In certain cases, a plant valued at $40 to $50 may be sent to the family
or funeral home in place of a monetary donation
Donations will be made in the event of a death for the following:
- Member
- Retiree
- Member's Spouse
- Member's Child
- Member's Parent
IN THE EVENT OF SERIOUS ILLNESS OR BIRTHS
In the case of an illness resulting from surgery or hospitalization, a card
will be sent for the following:
- Member
- Retiree
- Member's Spouse
- Member's Child
A card will be sent upon the birth of a child for a Member.
