Organizations (AFL-CIO) is a voluntary federation of

and international labor unions. This site has a tremendous amount of
information.
- Michigan AFL-CIO
The Michigan
State AFL-CIO was formed in 1958 with the merger of two organizations: the
state American Federation of
Labor and the Michigan Congress of Industrial Organizations.
We know that
whatever we gain through collective bargaining, we can lose through
government action. That's why we must be
involved in politics and lobbying, and the most
effective mechanism for doing that in our state is
the Michigan State AFL-CIO. That's our mission.
